How confident are you when it comes to maths?
This questionnaire is designed to help highlight areas that you may be struggling with in regards to maths. Everyone struggles with different things at different times. You will be strong at some aspects but may find you are less confident in other areas.
Ask yourself....
- Do you get stuck sometimes, when tackling your maths homework and wish you could ask someone for help? YES / NO
- Does the thought of tests and exams make you feel very anxious? YES / NO
- Do you feel like giving up on maths? It gets all too much? YES / NO
- Are you longing for the day when don't have to do maths at school any more? YES / NO
- Are your parents not able to assist you because they find maths too difficult and besides they always hated maths? YES / NO
- Is your teacher too busy or unapproachable to help you? YES / NO
- Have you even tried to teach yourself from a text book and it was too difficult? YES / NO
- Do you wonder how come other students manage to get good test results? YES / NO
Count up how many times you answered 'yes' to a question ...
If you answered 'No' to all or most of the questions above then congratulations, you appears to be performing very well. You could benefit a lot from our 'keep up' or 'get ahead' maths programmes.
If you answered 'Yes' to most of these questions then there may be an underlying reason for why you are struggling with maths.
