What is your child really like when learning?
This questionnaire is designed to help highlight to parents some of the key indicators that your child may be either struggling at school, or simply not being challenged enough.
Parents, ask yourself....

- Do you wish you could do something to help your child make more progress at school? YES / NO
- Do you want to know your child’s writing, reading, maths or spelling age? YES / NO
- Are you anxious about whether your child will be able to cope with intermediate, secondary school or NCEA? YES / NO
- Is your child shy or lost in class? YES / NO
- Does your child have full understanding of maths concepts? YES / NO
- Does your child need assistance in learning tables or spelling? YES / NO
- Do you want an affordable option to private schooling? YES / NO
- Does your child make the following comments about their school subjects:
“I can’t do it” or “It’s not like I’m any good at it”? YES / NO
- Has your child been called a clown or nuisance at school? YES / NO
- Is your child anxious before tests or turned off by school? YES / NO
- Does your child choose to argue with you rather than start or finish their homework? YES / NO
Count up how many times you answered 'yes' to a question ...
If you answered 'No' to all or most of the questions above then congratulations, your child appears to be performing very well. Your child could benefit a lot from our 'keep up' or 'get ahead' programmes available in maths, reading, spelling and writing.
If you answered 'Yes' to most of these questions then there may be an underlying reason for your concerns. We can help assess your child's learning style as well as their academic maths, reading, spelling and writing age.
It may be that your child could benefit from our 'catch up' programme or that they are not being challenged and would thrive on our 'get ahead' programmes. These programmes are available in maths, reading, spelling and writing.
