How well is your child really doing at school?
This assessment is designed to help highlight your child's attitude towards school and homework. Certain patterns can emerge that indicate if a child is struggling at school or simply not being given enough of a challenge.
Parents, ask yourself....
- Do you know how your child is performing compared to other children in their class? YES / NO
- Is your child enthusiastic about going to school each day? YES / NO
- Did you feel happy reading your child’s school report? YES / NO
- Does your child complete homework willingly? YES / NO
- Do you have lots of time to test your child’s tables and basic facts? YES / NO
- Do you have a good relationship with your child’s teacher? YES / NO
- Do you have the energy to be interested in your child’s daily activities at school? YES / NO
- Are you able to be encouraging and assist with tricky homework? YES / NO
Count up how many times you answered 'yes' to a question ...
If you answered 'Yes' to all or most of the questions above then congratulations, your child appears to be performing very well and enjoying school. Your child could benefit a lot from our 'keep up' or 'get ahead' programmes available in maths, reading, spelling and writing.
If you answered 'No' to most of these questions then there may be an underlying reason for your concerns. We can help assess your child's learning style as well as their academic maths, reading, spelling and writing age.
It may be that your child could benefit from our 'catch up' programme or that they are not being challenged and would thrive on our 'get ahead' programmes. These programmes are available in maths, reading, spelling and writing.
