What to Expect
Academic Edge aims to provide an easy and safe service that fits in with your schedule.
By providing a comfortable, conducive environment for your child to learn, and employing top quality tutors to guide your child as well as providing simple payment options we hope to make it easy for you to choose us.
When your child begins tutoring with Academic Edge there are certain processes and procedures you can expect from us and there are certain commitments we will expect from you.
What to expect from us
- After a warm welcome we will listen carefully to what you think is needed.
- We may do some additional testing for further clarification.
- Using a collaborative approach we plan an individual programme for your child.
- We provide one hour sessions of tuition with a dedicated tutor and we work at a unhurried pace with plenty of encouragement.
- We provide feedback to parents after each session if required as well as all materials needed by your child during the tutorial.
- We give a written report on your child's progress with an indication of how this compares with the expectations of the Ministry of Education.
- We are available at any time that suits you; this includes exam preparation times and during holidays.
What we expect from you
- A commitment to attend for either a term or half term.
- 24 hour notification of absences so we can arrange another time slot for you.
- Payment at each session (or in advance).
