Reading tutor services for heightened reading skills, confidence and enjoyment

We assist your child to meet and surpass the compulsory National Standards in literacy introduced by the Government for 2010.

Our professional reading tutors will work with your child's ability and unique learning style to heighten their reading skills and confidence.

We can help any child of any ability, so ask us today about how we can help!

Your child's reading tutor will test their ability and develop a personal learning programme

Before beginning the tutoring, your child's reading tutor will assess their reading ability against the National Standards. From there, they will use Marie Clay's Running Records to analyse miscues, enabling them to set up an effective reading programme of which phonics is an important part.

Emphasis on increasing reading accuracy, fluency and comprehension

Writing, spelling, and reading all go hand in hand, so our reading tutors will often incorporate all three into the hour learning session to provide a dynamic approach to your child's learning. Phonics will always be at the forefront of a balanced literacy programme.

If we feel there is little progress we will refer your child for more specialised help. We are enthusiastic readers ourselves and want to help your child to be the same!
